We recently got word from the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce:
The Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, in collaboration with Alibaba, organized a workshop on “Beyond the Cambodian Market: Bringing Cambodian Products to International Markets through Alibaba.com” to promote the export of Cambodian products. The workshop aims to provide opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to benefit from e-commerce and the digital economy, aligning with the first phase of the pentagonal strategy, which includes “economic diversification and competitiveness enhancement” and “digital economy and social development”. The workshop also marks the launch of the “Cambodia Digital Economy and Social Policy Framework 2021-2035”. This event reflects the partnership and cooperation between the government and the private sector to boost Cambodian products and promote exports, especially through e-commerce operations. Through the Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP), the Ministry of Commerce will collaborate with Alibaba to open a Cambodian national pavilion on Alibaba.com during the upcoming 21st China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, Guangxi, China in September, and will participate in other exhibitions to further promote Cambodian products. Additionally, the Ministry will continue to collaborate with Alibaba.com and relevant ministries and institutions to expand knowledge, skills, experience, and the international business network.
